It is a cute cartoon & follows the story pretty well. They have added a a few extra things but not to ruin it
Don’t listen to any negative reviews about this “yet another” cartoon version of A Christmas Carol. While the animation is just fair and admittedly does not compare to some of the movies out today, the delivery of the story is wonderful. The tale is familiar, albeit with the addition of a dog for Scrooge fittingly named Debit, but it is the addition of broadway worthy song that makes this version of A Christmas Carol unforgettable. A must see!

Inspired by a real-life performance-art suicide (according to the opening commentary), Frozen explores a rarely glimpsed youth subculture of post-Tiananmen Square Beijing, and finds a mood of hopelessness. Wang Xiaoshuai’s deliberate direction and unadorned shooting style has won accolades for its simplicity and directness, highlighted in two genuine performance-art pieces: the first a stomach churning document of two men eating a bar of soap, and the second the shivering ice burial. It’s an effective approach for those scenes, where self-torture becomes a desperate grasp for sensation in a numbing existence, but elsewhere the anger and frustration of the film dissipates in long, rambling discussions and a meandering pace. Part of that style came from necessity: the gurrilla production was shot in secret and smuggled out of the country. The director finished it in Amsterdam and signed it “Wu Ming” (meaning “no one”) out of fear of reprisals from the Chinese government. In the years since its release, Wang Xiaoshuai has come forth as the director, but the alias appropriately remains on the prints. A film that gives voice to a generation of alienated young adults desperate to be heard, it remains banned in China. –Sean Axmaker

Comparisons to Al Gore’s Oscar-winning slide show will be inevitable, but there’s a key difference between the two documentaries. An Inconvenient Truth was aimed at the PBS set, while Leonardo DiCaprio’s The 11th Hour combines a traditional structure with a more MTV-friendly pace. Of course, neither was made by these public figures. Davis Guggenheim directed the former, while Nadia Conners and Leila Conners Petersen are behind the latter. DiCaprio serves as producer, co-writer, and narrator (the three previously worked on the short films Global Warming and Water Planet). Their first feature combines a diverse array of interviews with a dizzying variety of images, both soothing and alarming (droughts and hurricanes vs. serene sunsets and playful polar bears). Speakers include former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, Cambridge physicist Stephen Hawking, and progressive CEO Ray Anderson, hero of The Corporation. Granted, there’s no obvious youth appeal in these subjects, but the presence of the Titanic heartthrob-turned-Scorsese star, who keeps his on-screen narration to a tasteful minimum, plus atmospheric tracks from Sigur Ros, Coldplay and Mogwai seems likely to attract a younger crowd. And that seems to be the point, since The 11th Hour is, at heart, a call to arms. It begins by taking a look at the causes of global warming before exploring solutions, from eating organic to building with solar power. There isn’t a ton of new information for environmental experts, but DiCaprio and his team have assembled a thought-provoking primer for neophytes and potential activists. –Kathleen C. Fennessy
